Welcome to Mealify 2.0. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data. By using Mealify, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
This policy applies to the Mealify iOS application developed and maintained by [Jackson Dow / Mjax Consulting].
We collect the following types of information:
The AI Pantry Scanner feature uses photos you provide to attempt to identify grocery items. Photos are processed for the purpose of generating item suggestions and are not used for any other purpose. You retain the ability to review and edit any AI-generated results before they are saved to your pantry.
AI-generated results are not guaranteed to be accurate. You are responsible for verifying the items identified before using them in recipes or meal plans.
Content you create in Mealify, including pantry items, personal recipes, meal plans, and shopping lists, is stored locally on your device (unless shared to our community feature). This data is used to provide the core features of the App and is not shared with third parties except as described in this policy.
Mealify offers an optional one-time Premium purchase, processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not have access to your payment card or billing information. For questions about billing or refunds, please contact Apple Support or reach out to us at the email below.
Mealify does not currently use third-party analytics. Basic crash data may be reported through Apple's standard crash reporting mechanisms.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with third parties for advertising purposes. We may share data with service providers that help operate the App (such as AI scanning services) only to the extent necessary to provide those features.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
Your data is retained as long as you use the App. If you delete the App, data stored locally on your device will be removed.
If you uploaded a recipe to the community that you wish to delete, please contact our email and we will resolve it.
Mealify is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
